Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines is governed by a dedicated board of directors. The board of directors is comprised of 19 adult and 2 Senior Girl Scout volunteers ultimately responsible for strategic planning and managing council policy.

Board members represent the geographical areas of the council and are elected by delegates at the council's Annual Meeting in April. Management of operations is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who oversees program staff as well as seasonal camp staff.
