In Junior Girl Scouts, girls gain self-confidence, learn life skills and build friendships as they earn badges that appeal to their interests. Junior Girl Scouts discover the power of girls as they explore their community together and look for ways to make a difference.

Awards and RecognitionJunior Girl Scouts earn badges. There are 116 badges to choose from depending on the individual and/or troop interests. Within each badge are requirements that represent skill development, career awareness, and service. Activities outside of Girl Scouting may be applied to earning badges.
The Bronze Award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn. It shows she has made a promise to help others and be the best she can be. It involves three requirements and a Bronze Award Project.
Uniforms and BooksJunior Girl Scouts can wear the Girl Scout Membership Pin, showing they belong to Girl Scouts of the USA, and the World Trefoil Pin, signifying their membership in a worldwide movement. Girls can purchase Junior Girl Scout uniforms with either a sash or vest to display their badges and other insignia. They can also buy the Junior Girl Scout Handbook and Junior Girl Scout Badge Book. Leaders use the Junior Girl Scout Leader Guide Book and Safety-Wise.
